My Story
Background & Inspirations
“You will never be completely at home again, because part of your heart always will be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place.” - Miriam Adeney
Many Homes
I was born in Japan, raised in England and Scotland, grew up in Australia, and forged an identity in France and South America. I have known the challenges of resettling and of making new friends, new safe places, and new plans
Loss
When I was young our family learned what it was like to feel loss and grief; how it changes the fabric of your life and your future.
Learning
I have always loved learning; namely languages, history, how to build a tiny house, and how to do relationships well in every facet of our lives. I stepped into the world of Adventure Therapy and before long, into the world of clinical counselling and found where I belonged - alongside people and their journeys through life.
Heart
If home is where the heart is, then I find home with my lovely husband, our dearest friends, our raucous extended family, and three energetic border collies.
The rest of my life is filled with walking said dogs, camping, spending time with our Christian church community, drinking lots of hot beverages, attempting to learn musical instruments, and reading.
